The owner, Celeste Reed, transitions from a 16.5yr career in law enforcement to a massage therapist. The mental and physical demands which she experienced on the force, were the motivation to seek the use of massage therapy and the benefits it would provide to others. Throughout her career, she has personally experienced the results of stress-related disorders; chronic lumbar syndrome, immune deficiency disorder and right knee injury. Due to the treatment of western medicine, she found the pharmaceutical industry to be complacent and to illicit several side-effects. After years of suffering, she intends to use natural healing remedies and alternative medicines first. She believes people have to be proactive in their overall health and seek the best alternative treatment which will suit their needs.
Celeste was amazed at the benefits of massage therapy and how it has a profound impact on one's own physical and emotional well-being. She realized if massage therapy could improve her overall health, could the same massage techniques help others. Through this process, Celeste attended Everest Institute in Dearborn, Mi., and received a Degree in Massage Therapy in 2015. She is Licensed/Insured, in the State of Michigan and is furthering her education in various massage modalities and natural holistic therapies. In January 2016, Celeste founded Massage Essentials, LLC. She believes, Massage Essentials, LLC., will provide the resources necessary to give the same alternative therapies to others and make them accessible to all.
